Artisans from all over the country, belonging to the Cotton Silk Weavers Welfare Association, are in the city to exhibit their ethnic weaves and traditional pure silk, cotton and handicraft products at the ‘Weavers and Craftsman’ exhibition and sale.

More than 100 designers and weavers and handicraft artisans will be a part of this year’s exhibition which includes gorgeous ‘uppadas’, ‘Banaras silks’, ‘Gadwals’, ‘Dharmavaram’, ‘Jamdanis’, ‘Jamawars’ and ‘Sambalpuris’. There will be everything from silk and cotton saris and suit dress materials to fashion jewellery and home furnishing items from each region of the country to delight people in the city.

Artisans from 14 handloom weaving states including Rajasthan, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Bihar, Odisha, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Jammu and Kashmir, West Bengal and many designers from metros working in collaboration with the weavers will be displaying more than 1,50,000 varieties of their work at the exhibition.

The exhibition-cum-sale will be on from April 15 to 24 from 10.30 am to 8.30 pm at the Karnataka Chitrakala Parishath, Near Shivnanda Circle, Kumara Krupa
Road.
