They condemned the Co-operative Department’s announcement of Kolar Milk Union Director’s election dates on May 13 as illegal as, the election code of conduct was in place till May 14.
The voter’s list is not yet published. The sudden announcement of the election date may be a threat to peace in rural areas, as there has been no time gap of at least 21 days, they said and urged to postpone the polls.
Byalahalli Govinde Gowda, Urigili Rudraswamy of Farmers’ Welfare Committee, Dodnahalli Venkatesh, Narayan Gowda, Kempa Reddy, Gopal, Shankar, Thirumalappa of district Milk Producers Union took part in the protest.
