MPs to give themselves 100% salary hike

Parliamentarians may spar on a range of issues, but there is rare consensus on the issue of giving themselves a 100 % salary hike.

As Samajwadi Party leader Naresh Agarwal raised the issue of salary hike in the Rajya Sabha last week, he found an eager supporter in the Leader of the Opposition Ghulam Nabi Azad.

“It is very difficult to maintain three homes in the present salary,” Agarwal had said on Wednesday.
