High drama was witnessed for a while in front of the state police headquarters on Nrupatunga Road in the city on Saturday evening as a woman, who is said to be ‘close’ to the Director General and Inspector General of Police Omprakash, tried to stage a flash protest seeking justice.

The woman went to the state police headquarters around 7.30 pm along with a few television news channel staff, and attempted to stage a protest on the busy road. A woman police sub-inspector, who was sent to the spot by the higher-ups, took the woman to the Cubbon Park police station for questioning, said sources in the police department.

The woman claimed that she was cheated by Om Prakash and his family and was thus seeking justice.

Om Prakash reacts

When contacted, Om Praksah told Deccan Herald: “I was away from Bengaluru. I was told that a woman attempted to stage a protest. She is targetting me and blackmailing me. She does such acts continuously. I was told that she was seeking justice. She can approach the police if anybody has cheated her and lodge a complaint. She is motivated by personal grudge.”

According to police sources, there are cases against the woman in the Mahalakshmi Layout and Rajajinagar police stations.
