Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Monday said the Cabinet will be reshuffled by the end of this month.

Speaking to media persons at Mysore Airport in Mandakalli here, Siddaramaiah said a few ministers may be dropped to give an opportunity to young leaders and new faces.
He said he was satisfied and happy with his government’s performance over the last three years.

“The Congress-led government will complete three years in office on May 13. We have given a transparent administration and introduced many pro-people programmes. We have fulfilled a majority of the assurances in the party’s manifesto for the Assembly elections in 2013.

Of the 160 promises, 120 have become a reality and the remaining will be fulfilled in the next two budgets. Besides, we will also take up additional programmes,” he said.

Reacting to a query on Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar’s revelations that some politicians from Karnataka figured in the AgustaWestland deal, the chief minister said: “Neither the Congress nor its leaders in the state figure in any scam or corruption case. The recent allegations are politically motivated.”

To celebrate three years in office in the state, ‘Jana-Mana’, an interaction programme, has been organised on May 13 in Bengaluru. Senior ministers will take part in it.

As part of the celebration, a booklet on the achievements of the Congress government will be released in all the districts on May 14, he said.
