In this direction, SPB has brought out a booklet highlighting the salient feature of central scheme and the amount the State can receive under the programme.
Addressing a press conference in Bangalore, SPB Deputy Chairman D H Shankaramurthy said that the booklet would serve as a ready-reckoner for legislators and administrators.
The State has under-utilised the benefits of several central scheme. For instance, while the State could have utilised Rs 1,100 crore during 2008-09 under Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme it could spend only Rs 398 crore.
