<p> The engine of an Assam-bound train derailed early today near Kanyakumari due to a landslip caused by heavy rains though no one was injured in the mishap.<br /><br /></p>.<p>Train services in the single line section between Nagercoil and Thiruvananthapuram Central have been affected due to derailment of Kanyakumari-Dibrugarh Express.<br /><br />"The train had left Kanyakumari at 2300 hrs last night and got derailed after passing Eraniel station at 0110 hrs today due to landslip," a Southern Railway press release said.<br /><br />A pair of engine wheels slipped from the track due to landslip after heavy rain in the region.<br />No casualties has been reported, the release said, adding, Divisional Railway Manager and restoration team are at the spot.<br /><br /></p>
