Man held for molesting minor girl

A 35-year-old person man was arrested on the charge of molesting a minor girl at Ragigudda slum on Saturday.

The suspect was identified as Antony, a resident of Ragigudda slum. According to the police, Antony is employed as a house keeping staff at an office in Bilekalli. He molested a 2-year-old girl when she was sleeping inside her shed at around 2 am. She raised an alarm and her father woke up. Antony ran away and victim’s father chased him, but could not catch him, said the police.

The father turned up at the police station on Saturday morning and lodged a complaint. The police booked Antony under the provisions of Pocso Act and rape they added.
