The split of popular couples like Katrina Kaif and Ranbir Kapoor, Hrithik Roshan and Sussanne Khan, Arbaaz Khan and Malaika Arora Khan and the very recent Sushant Singh Rajput and Ankita Lokhande has shocked their fans. What is interesting is that the reports followed one after another, creating an impression that ‘seperation’ has become a latest fad among celebrities.

However, actor Rithvik Dhanjani, who with his long-time girlfriend Asha Negi is a celebrity couple and winners of the couple dance-reality show Nach Baliye 6, believes that there is nothing trendy about it. He says, “Everyone has their own story and reasons for why it’s happening. I’m nobody to comment, judge and say anything on it. All that I can say is just stay happy whichever way possible. It’s just one life.”

The 27-year-old, who debuted in acting with the daily soap Bandini and later was seen in Sushant Singh Rajput-starrer Pavitra Rishta, feels that there should be a balance in personal and professional life to live happily. “Like in school, when we used to manage between studies, family, friends and fun, it’s just as simple as that. It’s like the key. There must be a balance in this phase of life too and if you are not doing it, you are not living your life.”

Talking about his tryst with acting, Dhanjani, says that it is the only thing that he can do and loves doing. “Acting is something that always had to happen to me, because I don’t know anything else. It allows me to do anything in life. I think entertaining people, making them laugh and cry is what I can do and I love to do.”

Calling himself a ‘naughty, ugly and fat’ kid, Dhanjani, says that he always wanted to become a star and do everything like painting,  dancing, singing and drama that came his way. “I just wanted to find myself. I have been very
curious since my childhood and I still am.”

Meanwhile, Dhanjani, who hosted shows like Nach Baliye 7 and India’s Best Dramebaaz, is currently co-hosting the dance reality show So You Think You Can Dance,  which has Madhuri Dixit Nene, Terence Lewis and Bosco Martis as judges, with Mouni Roy.

This is the first time the actor is co-hosting a show with a female and feels a lot of difference between the two. “Co-hosting with males is very different. We can be the buffoons and monkeys we are. But now if I want to do the same, I am not sure if Mouni will support me the way my male co-hosts have.” Dhanjani feels that hosting this show is a different experience in itself. “In terms of hosting, there is the essence of the show that is different. I like to enjoy every flavour”.
