If an MP or an MLA take oath of office in his/her regional language, it can easily be understood by the concerned people's representative. It is better that the member should not be forced to take oath of office in a language which is not understandable to him/her,as the very purpose of oath taking will loose its very significance.
There are certain MPs or MLAs who are not literate enough to understand what the oath taking format contains and they will simply utter what the President or Governor ask them to do.
Therefore it is better that MPs should take their oath of office in their regional languages to have a meaningful significance in the oath taking function.
