State govt to honour Sachin

Meanwhile, the State finance department has refused to increase the salary of 86 sports coaches who are working on a contract basis at the Youth Service Department.

The govt had promised to increase their salary when the coaches had staged a protest demanding hike. Subsequently, the government had increased the salary from Rs 4,500 to Rs 17,500. But now the finance department has written to the sports department to reduce the salary.
