Punjabi stays on top

 Vijay Punjabi continued to call the shots, staying in pole position in the 2nd ARC Karnataka State tenpin bowling championship at PVR BluO, Orion Mall here on Saturday.

Following the second block of games in Round 2, Punjabi was sitting pretty with a total pinfall of 5134 for an average of 213.92.

Punjabi felled 1259 pins on the day.
Akaash Ashok Kumar, who bowled impressively scoring 1291 pins at an average of 215.17, was placed second at 4977 while early pace-setter Girish Gabba was third at 4684.  The top 12 men will bowl two blocks of four games each in Round 3 and the top four will qualify for the knockout round. Both rounds will be played on Sunday.

Meanwhile in the women’s competition, Judy Alban putting up an impressive performance, scoring 2125 pins. Pavithra DM (2078) was second while Chethana R (2052) was in the third position.
