The busy stretch of the 7th Main Road, Rajajinagar ‘D’ Block, 2nd Stage will spring to life with an array of activities like cycle rides, skateboarding, street theatre, street art and others on Sunday on the occasion of cycle day.

Enthused by the positive response to the first edition held a month ago, members of Rajajinagar D Block Resident Welfare Association (RWA) are now back with another cycle day.

There will be a workshop on waste segregation by ‘My Malleswaram’, a citizen group and also an awareness programme by Bengaluru city traffic police on traffic rules
and regulations along with a cycle ride, traditional games and others.

“Around 500 people took part in the first edition and we are expecting more this time, provided the weather does not play spoilsport. The objective of the event is to bring the community under one roof, encourage cycling and create awareness on environment among citizens,” said member of RWA, Santosh G and organising member, Kaveri Kedarnath.

Kedarnath said the cycle ride will cover 7th Main near Amba Bhavani temple, 13th Main, Rajkumar Road among others. He added that people can get their bicycles and if they do not have one, they can hire one for free on depositing an ID proof.
