<p>Six Gen Next designers have been chosen to showcase their creations at the Lakmé Fashion Week (LFW) Winter/Festive 2016, which will begin August 24. It is one of the prestigious fashion platforms.<br /><br />The mentoring platform, which has given the Indian fashion industry names like Rahul Mishra, Masaba Gupta and Nachiket Barve, is now set to groom its batch of six promising designers who have been chosen by the members of the LFW advisory board, reports IANS.<br /><br />Abhishek Paatni, Paridhi Jaipuria, Gaurav Khanijo, Anupreet Sidhu, Vaibhav Singh and Diming Rubu are the new faces who have grabbed the chance this time, read a statement from Lakme Fashion Week organisers.</p>.<p><br />Announcing GenNext designers, Purnima Lamba, head of innovations, <br />Lakmé said, “Each season, the enthusiasm we receive for this program propels us to take it to newer heights. I am delighted to introduce our talented new designers for this season, each bringing their wonderful artistic vision to fashion.”<br /><br />LFW Gen Next is now the premier platform for designer discovery in the fashion industry, says Jaspreet Chandok, vice-president and head - fashion, IMG Reliance <br />limited.<br /><br />“Our Gen Next program not only seeks to recognise high potential talent, but <br />also provide mentorship and guidance for an impressive showcase as the entire <br />industry watches,” he said.<br /><br />These six designers have showcased a fabulous preview collection and I look forward to their launch on the Indian runway,” he said.</p>
