Addressing a press meet here on Sunday, he said “the party workers hard work can be seen in the victory of an inexperienced leader against a national level leader in Dakshina Kannada.”  Stating that the transport system in Punjab is model for other states, he said the bus fares are comparatively cheaper than other states.

To a query on Operation Kamala, he said “we never forced any leader to join BJP. They joined on their own.”

“In Punjab, BJP had contested from 4 constituencies and Akhali Dal from 11 constituenies. BJP could get one seat and Akhali Dal 4 seats. It was a setback to us. We will discuss over the results soon,” he added.

“BJP is strong in Karnataka in general and Dakshina Kannada in particular. Winning 19 seats is an achievement,” he added.
