JOIN US Two engineering students were killed on the spot while two Bescom employees injured in a collision between a KSRTC bus and a bike at Kumbapura gate near Ramanagaram on Saturday.
The deceased, students of Brindavan Engineering College in the city, were identified as Navajyoth Sahu (20), a native of Odisha, and Abhin Ravindran 21, (in pic) of
Kerala.
The Chennapatana Bescom sub-division employees, Thimmaiah and Madaiah are being treated at Nimahans, said the police. The speeding bus rearended the bike on which Sahu and Ravindran were riding.
The two were tossed up in the air and came under the wheels of the bus. Meanwhile, the bike moved further due to the collision and hit another two-wheeler on which Madaiah and Thimmaiah were travelling, said the police. The police denied that it was a case of wheeling.
