<p>The clash broke out when some miscreants assaulted a youth during the ‘Holi Kamana Darshana’ celebrations in Huligamma temple at Vaddara Oni on Sunday night. <br />The miscreants also desecrated a temple and threw stones. <br /><br />The clash continued on Monday with the people of the youth’s community attacking the people of another community in retaliation. <br />The groups indulged in stone throwing and damaged the KSRTC and private buses, temples and shops. <br /><br />Shops and commercial establishments, schools and colleges remained closed and the vehicles stayed off the road which caused inconvenience to the passengers. <br />Besides, rumour over a death of a pregnant woman belonging to a particular community worsened the situation on Monday. <br />The police have also taken 50 persons into custody as a preventive measure. <br />DH News Service</p>
