Major reshuffle of IAS officers

The Centre on Thursday effected a reshuffle among middle-level civil servants by giving new assignments to 29 officers.

Vijay Kumar Dev, a 1987-batch IAS officer of UT cadre, will be new deputy election commissioner in place of Vinod Zutshi, while Rupinder Singh of Maharashtra cadre has been appointed deputy director general of UIDAI.

Vidyavathi V, a 1991-batch Karnataka cadre officer, has been transfered to Cabinet secretariat in the rank of joint secretary. Presently, she is joint secretary in department of personnel and training.

Sunil Kumar, an IAS officer of the Uttar Pradesh cadre, will be joint secretary in Ministry of Commerce, while Sudhesh K Shahi will be deputy director general in Telecommunications Department.
