Moily takes a jibe at Poojary's call for chief minister's resignation

Taking a jibe at veteran Congress leader and former Union minister Janardhan Poojary who had demanded resignation of chief minister over the suicide of deputy superintendent of police M K Ganapathi, senior Congress leader and Chikkaballapura MP Veerappa Moily has said that those who have enjoyed power should remain patient and not issue statements for coming back to power.

Speaking to media on the sidelines of a private progra-mme here on Sunday, Moily said it was wrong to issue statements with the desire for power.

“Difference of opinion, if any, should be aired at the party forum and they should be sorted out within the party organisation. We have discussed several issues with the chief minister and if necessary talks will be held again with him,” Moily said.

Referring to the suicide of Ganapathi, he said that the state government had ordered a judicial probe and a CID investigation was also on.

Moily said that there shouldn’t be any delay in completing the probe. “The resignation of Minister George could be obtained only if he is found guilty in the proble. He cannot resign just because the Opposition demands it. If the Opposition has any evidence to establish the involvment of George, let them submit it,” Moily said.

He said he had completed writing an epic on Bahubali. “I have sent my work to veteran writers and experts. Later, it will be revised and released two months prior to the Mahamasthakabhisheka at Shravanabelagola.”
