<p>Presidency School bagged the first place at the regional edition of ‘IT Wiz’, an annual inter-school IT quiz organised by Tata Consultancy Services (TCS). <br /><br /></p>.<p>Samarth D Raju and Suketh K S, both Class 10 students, competed with more than 1,000 students from various schools in Bengaluru to come first in the quiz on the theme ‘Default is Digital’. <br /><br />After a preliminary written round, six teams of two students each qualified for the final which was held on the stage. Conducted by Quizmaster Giri ‘Pickbrain’ Balasubramaniam, participants were quizzed on trending videos and viral content on the internet apart from questions on startups and their founders from around the globe. Emerging areas, such as cloud computing, telecom, biometrics and robotics, were the topics for this year’s quiz. <br /><br />Presidency School scored 40 points while Vallabh Ramakanth and Mohit Doshi from Sri Kumaran’s Children's Home came second with a score of 21 points. <br /><br />The quiz is being held in 15 cities in the coutnry after which the winning teams at the regional levels will be going to Mumbai in December to take part in the national-level final round. <br /></p>
