Alcoholics Anonymous anniversary

Last Updated 19 August 2016, 19:55 IST

The 52nd Anniversary celebration of Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) will be held on August 21, 10 am onwards at Joseph’s Boys High School, Museum Road.

AA has been instrumental in transforming the lives of people who have fallen victim to alcohol addiction. AA is a fellowship of men and women who share their experience, strength and hope with each other, that they may solve their common problem and help others recover from alcoholism.

The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop drinking. There are no dues or fees for AA membership. They are a self-supporting group who manage through their own contributions.

AA is not allied with any sect, denomination, politics, organisation or institution; does not wish to engage in any controversy; it neither endorses nor opposes any causes. The main purpose is to stay sober and help other alcoholics to achieve sobriety.

The fellowship in the city has completed 52 years. For details, call 9845587507 and 9902262316.
