JOIN US A 39-year-old head constable committed suicide by hanging at his lover’s house at Bagalur on Friday night.
The deceased has been identified as Fakruddin, a resident of CV Raman Nagar in KR Puram. He was attached to the Bagalur police station.
According to the police, Fakruddin was a native of Doddaballapur and was married to Taj and had two children. He was serving at the Sampigehalli police station as a constable.
He was promoted as head constable two months ago and posted at Bagalur police station.
Fakruddin had an affair with Shanu for the last six months. He took a house on rent at Gundappa Circle at Bagalur for Shanu. On Friday night, around 11 pm, he went to Shanu’s house in an inebriated state and picked an argument with her alleging that the latter was creating trouble in his domestic life.
A few neighbours intervened and tried to pacify Fakruddin, said the police.
Shanu told Deccan Herald: “Fakruddin would visit me twice a week, often be inebriated state. He would fight over petty issues and calm down later. After quarrelling with me on Friday night, I found his body hanging from the ceiling fan, when I woke up on Saturday morning,” she added. The police stated that there was no death note.
