A 25-year-old man committed suicide by hanging himself at his house at Chikkalasandra in Subramanyapura on Saturday night.
The deceased has been identified as Gajendra Singh.
He is a native of Manipur and was a technician at Abbaiah Naidu Studio, said the police. Singh hanged himself after he returned from the studio around 9 pm. The incident came to light when Singh’s friend came to meet him on Sunday morning.
Singh’s friend told the police that the former was in love with a girl. She had distanced herself from him. Her decision had hurt him and he was depressed. Hence, he took the extreme step, he said.
