Sleuths of the Anti-Narcotics Cell raided several locations in Mumbai during the past three days and recovered 900 kg of marijuana (ganja), 80 kg of hashish (charas), 30 gm of cocaine and three vehicles which were used to transport the drugs, Police Commissioner D Shivanandhan said. The police have also arrested 19 people, including three Nigerians, five people from AP, one from J& K and the rest from in and around Mumbai, he said.
“Since one of the consignments came from Jammu, we shall be sending our policemen there to conduct further investigations,” he said. The police are investigating whether the consignment was intended for disposal in Mumbai or some other cities.
