A complaint has been filed with the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) against Chief Secretary Aravind Jadhav and other officials for alleged manipulation of government documents while getting podi done for a property in the name of Jadhav’s mother Tarabai Maruthi Rao Jadhav.

The complaint filed by an RTI activist S Bhaskaran stated that survey number 29 of Ramanayakanahalli in Sarjapur hobli includes 74 acres of government land.

Several persons were granted lands in this survey number and one such grantee had sold 8.3 acres to Tarabai Maruthi Rao Jadhav and the latter had filed an application to include her name in the RTC.

Without a valid podi

The complaint stated that Chief Secretary Aravind Jadhav pressured revenue authorities in Bengaluru Urban district to initiate the process to create a new survey number - 29/1 by creating forged documents.

“The Anekal tahsildar has entered the name of Tarabai in the RTC without a valid podi, which is against the rules. It is also to be probed if the other grantees in the survey number are benamis of any bureaucrats or politicians,” the complaint stated.

The complaint also named Bengaluru (Urban) Deputy Commissioner, Assistant Commissioner in charge of Anekal division and tahsildar of Anekal in the complaint. A senior ACB official said that the complaint has been received and a preliminary enquiry will be conducted.
