As speculations are rife about whether Sonakshi Sinha will be part of the Salman Khan-starrer Dabangg 3, the actress said if the character of Rajjo, which she had played in Dabangg, is part of the script of the franchise, then it would be played by her.

It was Salman, who had launched Sinha, daughter of actor-politician Shatrughan Sinha, in Bollywood with Dabangg in 2010 and the action masala entertainer brought lot of fame and recognition for the actress. Now, as the makers are gearing up to make third installment of Dabangg there have been reports that Sinha may not be part of the film.
“The script is not in place as they (makers) are still working on it. I (my character) haven’t died in Dabangg 2.

Rajjo will always be Rajjo irrespective of how they take the story forward like either there are additions or subtractions made to the cast. If there is a character of Rajjo in Dabangg, it will always be played by me,” Sinha told PTI.

However, the Lootera actress is open to even play a cameo in the upcoming sequel. “Even if they (makers) need me for guest appearance I will still do it,” she added.

She feels it’s her debut film Dabangg that brought her into limelight. “I am what
I am today because of Dabangg and because of my role in the film. It’s my first film and my character I will always be grateful and loyal to that film,” she added.

Sinha said neither the producer-director Arbaaz Khan and nor Salman have spoken to her on Dabangg 3.

“There is lot of speculation happening. One day media writes I am doing it, other day it says I am not doing it.

There is no conversation about Dabangg 3 between us (Salman, Arbaaz and me) as the script is not ready,” she said.

“So I would request media to stop speculating. When the time is right, producer Arbaaz will say,” she added.

Sinha will be seen next in A R Murugadoss’s Akira alongside Anurag Kashyap and Konkana Sen Sharma.
