Beagles, Mandya crowned champions

Beagles Basketball club beat YMMA 44-23 to emerge champions in the State Sub-junior (U-13) basketball championship at the Sree Kanteerava stadium courts.

Led by Achintya (18 points) and Kalyan (10 points), Beagles were in complete control of the tie from the beginning as they raced to a 21-9 lead at the half time.

Beagles increased the lead in the second period to lay their hands on the trophy.
In the girls’ section, Department of Youth Empowerment and Sports, Mandya, beat their Vijayapura unit 31-11 to win the title. Janani sparkled for the winners with 20 points.
