Bamboo Mela from today

   The conference is a joint effort by State forest department, Western Ghats Task Force and National Bamboo Mission.

The mela would highlight the importance of bamboo and it would encourage the cultivation of bamboo, promotion of bamboo in Western Ghats, processing of bamboo and value addition, micro-propagation and preservation techniques, which would be followed by field visit, said Deputy Conservator of Forests Manojkumar.
