Salafi meet today

Central Committee Secretary of the Movement Ismail Shafi informed that the purpose of the meet is to show the real face of Islam as spoken in Quran and to free Islam from blind beliefs and faulty rituals.

Renowned scholars will take part in the convention that will be held from 9.30 am to 9.30 pm. President of Sharjah Indian Islahi centre Moulavi Hussain Salafi will deliver the keynote address, he added.

A harmony meet will be held on the occasion, which will be inaugurated by Home Minister Dr V S Acharya. District-in-Charge Minister Krishna J Palemar will be the chief guests on the occasion.

Over 20,000 people are expected to participate. There will also be a women’s meet in which over 500 women will take part, he added.
