Over six lakh to take up II PU exams

Of the total number of students, nearly 1.35 lakhs are likely to appear for the Karnataka Common Entrance Test (CET) 2010.

To help students tackle stress and anxiety related to examinations, the PUE Department had started a helpline comprising a panel of psychiatrists and psychologists. The helpline will conclude the counselling on March 15.

Do’s and don’ts

* Read, recall and rehearse model and question papers of previous years

* Prepare charts or cards comprising formulae, equations

* While solving question papers, begin with the difficult ones and then move to the easier questions

* Maintain positive attitude before the examination and be confident

* Spend about 10-15 minutes in meditation or yoga

* Get adequate sleep of a minimum of six hours

* Drink lots of water, fresh water juices and be on a good diet

* Take small breaks in between long hours of studies to refresh the mind
