Minister of State for External Affairs Gen (retd) V K Singh on Sunday reiterated that the government is taking action against illegal or unregistered agents who recruit workers from the country for domestic jobs abroad.
“These unregistered agents recruit workers on tourist visas and from one country they take workers to other countries, and make them do domestic work,” he said at Consular Services to Overseas Indians: Ensuring Effective and Efficient Delivery session. The government has already announced that no women workers below the age of 30 years shall be granted Emigration Clearance for any type of work in any ECR country.
