Khandani Rajdhani is celebrating Pongal, Lohri and Makara Sankranthi in the form of a weekend ‘utsav’. The ‘utsav’ festival is an amalgamation of festivities across various communities. Each of these festivals indicates new beginnings and a fresh start.

The delectable festive menu at the restaurant includes ‘Surti undhiyu with puri and kesar jalebi’, ‘Sarson ka saag with makai rotla’, ‘Til ke laddoo’, ‘Shakkarkand halwa’, ‘Khajur til puranpoli’ and a variety of other dishes especially curated by the chefs for the occasion.

“The fare is as traditional as it gets. We have planned the specialities keeping in mind the fact that people shouldn’t forget their traditions and the food associated with it. Any festival is incomplete without some special festive food. We are preparing everything as per the authentic techniques,” informs chef Hemji Maharaj.

One of the specialities that has been prepared for the occasion is ‘Til khajur ki gajak’, a favourite during this time, informs the chef. Then there is a corn and wheat preparation called ‘Maath bhakla’ that’s also available as part of the festive spread. The other dishes that are a part of the festive platter include ‘Dal baati churma’, a ‘Paneer mutter’ preparation, ‘Rajasthani kadhi’, ‘Badaam ka halwa’ and ‘Akhrot rice phirni’.

One can also look forward to ending the meal with all-time favourites like ‘rabdi’, ‘malpua’ and ‘malai’-based desserts. Additionally, one can avail the traditional ‘Jalebi fafda’ combination box through all prominent delivery portals till January 15 at Rs 150.

The festival is on till January 15 at all Khandani Rajdhani outlets in the city including Orion Mall, Koramangala, The Forum Value Mall, Indiranagar, JP Nagar, Mantri Square, Phoenix MarketCity and Royal Meenakshi Mall.
