'Always knew I could return to big stage'

Recalled batsman Yuvraj Singh, who proved that he’s still got plenty of passion and fire burning  inside him, said he always believed he could return to the big stage and wanted to make it big on his day.

“Self confidence is always there when you have the backing of the team and captain,” said the 35-year-old at the post match press conference. “Virat has showed a lot of trust in me and it was very important for me that people in the dressing room trust me. I've been batting well in the domestic season. And I’ve been hitting the ball really well. I wanted to make it big on my day. 150 is a huge score in one-day cricket. It’s my highest and has taken a long time to come but I’m very happy it happened today.”

England skipper Eoin Morgan said he’s gutted to have fallen short of the line again. “We weren't at our best again with the ball, we took early wickets, which is a really good sign but we let two experienced guys get themselves in like that.”
