Prof from state gets ILA award

The Indian Library Association will confer its highest honour ‘Indian Library Association-Dr PSG Kumar lifetime achievement award’ for the year 2016 on Prof Muttayya Koganuramath, dean, school of library and information science, Central University of Gujarat, Gandhinagar.

The award is being conferred in recognition of his contributions to the field of library and information science spanning over 38 years and will be presented during the 62nd All India library conference to be held at Karnataka State Women’s University, Vijayapura, from February 9-11, according to a press release by Dr Suresh Jange, deputy librarian, Gulbarga University, Kalaburagi. 

He was awarded TCTP fellowship to pursue MS in information management at Sheffield University, UK.
