Six days before commencement of Aero-India 2017 at the Yelahanka Air Force station, the Kempegowda International Airport (KIA) runway was partially closed for the airshow rehearsals on Wednesday.

The partial closure from 1.30 pm to 4.30 pm will remain in force till February 11. Between February 12 and 18, the closure will be from 10 am to 1.30 pm and 2 pm to 5 pm. Once the airshow concludes, the closure will extend from 10.30 am to 5 pm to facilitate building rapid exit taxiways for the runway. Normal runway operations will commence only after April 30.

All flight operations at KIA will be halted during this period. KIA officials said the airlines have already rescheduled their flights. Changes to flight schedules will be put up on www.bengaluruairport.com, on the Twitter handle @BLRAirport and the BLR Airport App.
