Post SC verdict in Vyapam case, BJP leader fires salvo at MP govt

Last Updated 16 February 2017, 19:02 IST

The Supreme Court verdict on the Vyapam scam has led to rumblings within the BJP. A party MP from Madhya Pradesh on Thursday said the judgement upholding the cancellation of degrees of 624 doctors obtained from the state government colleges has “forced us to analyse our administrative decisions and political will”.

The Damoh Lok Sabha MP’s comments end up casting aspersion on the Shivraj Singh Chouhan government,  though obliquely, as he stressed that the real culprits behind the scam are still to be punished.

In its February 14 verdict, the court had said the doctors had indulged in “acts of deceit” and obtained admissions between 2008 and 2012 through “mass fraud”, which was clear indictment of the medical examination process.
