Shadab steers Lagunillas to victory in main event

Lagunillas, trained by Zulfiquar Khan and steered by Shadab Khan lifted the Lt Col Govind Singhji Memorial Cup, over 1200 metres, the main event of Tuesday’s races here.

Lagunillas won by a comfortable 2-3/4 lengths with Sparkling Gold (SA Shah up) coming in second.

Ram Baarn, ridden by RS Shekhawat and R Parmod-steered Green Seals finished third and fourth respectively.

In the upper division of the Jai Govind Stud Plate, G Shekhawat-piloted Ashwa Panama took the spoils, winning over Jai Prakash-ridden Spot Hit by three-fourths of a length.
