Will sustain momentum at TCS: CEO

Expressing delight in connecting with the company’s employees, Rajesh Gopinathan, the new Chief Executive Officer of Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) stated that the new leadership will look at continuing the momentum at the software services major.

“The leadership team at TCS has worked together for a very long time. I can say emphatically that very few companies in our industry have such strength at the top as we do. This team, together with chief operating officer N G Subramaniam and I, will ensure sustenance of momentum and continuous evolution of our strategy,” Gopinathan said in a letter to TCS employees.

Gopinathan was apppointed as the CEO of TCS after N Chandrasekaran was chosen as the Chairman of Tata Sons. Gopinathan was the chief financial officer at TCS before being appointed as the CEO. TCS had also announced the appointment of V Ramakrishnan as chief financial officer and N Ganapathy Subramaniam as chief operating officer following the elevation of Chandrasekaran.

In the letter, Gopinathan has also said that the company needs to stay ahead of the competition to stay relevant to its customers.

“TCS has a well-articulated strategy which has guided it to a leadership position,” he said in the letter.
