Traffic curbs

The city police have imposed traffic restrictions on Thursday in the view of festival rush as people would be going to KSR-Bangalore City Railway Station and Kempegowda Bus Terminal.

The parking of vehicles is banned on Dhanwanthri Road, Railway Station Road, Tank Bund Road, Platform Road and Khoday’s Junction. All long distance idle parking of transport buses are restricted to Balekai Mandi, Jakkarayanakere, NGEF Terminal and New Peenya Bus Terminal.

All buses going towards Mysuru, Kodagu and Kerala will depart from Mysuru Road Bus Terminal. The buses going towards Tamil Nadu will depart from Shanthinagar Bus Terminal. Buses going towards Davangere will leave from Chikka Lalbhagh Bus Terminal.

Passengers travelling to Tamil Nadu (Chennai, Trichy, Karaikudi, Pudukottai, Tanjavur, Coimbatore, Madurai and Kumbakonam) in KSRTC and SETC premier buses should board the vehicles at Shanthinagar bus station.  Passengers travelling to Villapuram, Dharmapuri, Salem, Krishnagiri, Coimbatore via Hosur in Tamil Nadu SETC buses should board at Mysuru Road Bus Terminal. Passengers travelling to Shivvamoga and beyond should go to Yeshwanthpur Bus Terminal.

Due to heavy vehicular movement, motorists who are not going outside the city should avoid K G Road, Goods Shed Road, Sheshadri Road, Subedar Chattram Road, Platform Road, Krishna Flour Mill Road between 4 pm and 11 pm, the city police said.
