One more parent has alleged that her child was sexually assaulted by Manjunath, the supervisor at a playschool in Marathahalli, who has been arrested for sexually abusing several kids.

The mother of a boy turned up at the school on Thursday and alleged that Manjunath sexually assaulted her son, too, about two months ago in the school. She said she was going to lodge a police complaint.

“My son was sexually assaulted just two weeks after his admission. Manjunath may have sexually assaulted many more children. The school management must not reinstate him,” she said.

The woman narrated what happened to her son. That day, the child returned home depressed and visibly upset. “We took him to hospital. The doctor examined him and said his private parts were injured. Since my son is naughty, we presumed the injury was caused by something else,” she said.

The boy told his parents that it was “uncle” who caused the injury. The parents could not ascertain who this “uncle” was. But after a three-year-old girl was reportedly molested by “Bhayya” and “uncle” who turned out to be Manjunath, they concluded that it was nobody but him who had sexually assaulted their son, too.

“We approached the school management for information about the incident. The school coordinator, Preetha, told us that there was only one supervisor and his name was Manjunath. She also claimed that the management had full faith in him as he was an old employee. The management tried to hush up the matter by not taking any action against him,” the woman alleged.

Meanwhile, the Marathahalli police have seized six CDs, a pen drive, a laptop and Manjunath’s driving licence from his room on the third floor of the school building. The management has provided him accommodation.

“There were no complaints against him in the past in any police station in the city. We will check the CDs, the pen drive and the laptop for child pornography or other sexually explicit material,” a senior officer said.
