Technocraft Industries, the world’s second largest drum closure company, is looking to set up a distribution centre in South India for its scaffolding and formworks solutions.

“We are seeing a lot of increase in construction activity in South India due to which the company is looking at setting up a distribution centre there for smaller developers and contractors. We are already looking for space in Hyderabad or Bengaluru,” Technocraft Industries senior vice president Mudit Raniwala told DH.

“We were planning investments of Rs 30-35 crore for the first order that we received. As far as the planned distribution in the South is concerned, we plan to invest around Rs 50 crore,” Raniwala added.

Technocraft, which had recently launched the MACH range of scaffolding and formworks solutions manufactured in India, especially for the Indian market, is bullish about its prospects going forward.

“We have got an order from the Shapoorji Pallonji Group worth Rs 15 crore for a work in Bengaluru, and another order for Rs 20 crore in Hyderabad. Our aim is to have additional orders worth Rs 100 crore in the next fiscal (FY18),” Raniwala said.

“The company is also planning to introduce solutions for walls and columns soon as our current range is limited only to slabs. Our estimates suggest that the upcoming product will contribute majorly to the Rs 100-crore orders that we are expecting in the next fiscal,” Raniwala added.

The MACH range of scaffolding and formworks solutions fulfill every need in construction and infrastructure building. They are designed to be assembled and dismantle with speed, ease and total safety.

The Indian market for these solutions is partly catered to by several small scale manufacturers in the unorganised sector and these products do not always have the quality and reliability required for critical applications.
