'Terrorism is worst form of human rights violation'

Spiritual guru Mata Amritanandamayi said there is no bliss above humanity and no life without love. She was appalled at the increase in incidents of crime against humankind and said that terrorism is the worst form of human rights violation.

Delivering a discourse on her first-ever visit to the temple town, Amritanandamayi said God is indivisible and can be experienced through service to mankind and spirituality.

She said, “God is absorbed everywhere in the entire universe. God is both sentient and insentient and love emerges within the human soul and body.”

She said that even as pain is reverberating, animals indulge in violence because they are senseless, but it is devastating to see humans get involved in crime. She said terrorism is the worst form of humanity and expressed shock at the increase in crimes, natural disasters, riots and violence against women.

She said addiction towards drugs and alcohol is destructive to mankind. Science is yet to invent a device to measure disaster in the heart of humans. One should not be oblivious to the feelings of others, she said.

The increasing global warming is also a reflection of increasing hard feelings within the hearts of human beings. “Change is nature’s unchanged law and gratitude is the foundation of happiness,” she said.

District In-charge minister Pramod Madhwaraj said that the Amritanandamayi has several disciples, most of whom are foreigners. This signifies the increasing passion followers had towards Indian spirituality and tradition.

MP Shobha Karandlaje said that Amritanandamayi is the spiritual and cultural ambassador of India to the outside world who has been promoting Dharma through truthful means.

Cattle were given away in donation and 10 anganwadis were offered water purifiers. Amritanandamayi also visited Sri Krishna temple.
