Former MP and Congress leader A H Vishwanath has said that Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee president G Parameshwara should “correct” their style of functioning.

Speaking at a meeting of the Congress leaders here on Saturday, Vishwanath said that senior leaders in the party had been sidelined.

“The chief minister and KPCC president should seek suggestions from the veteran leaders of the party,” he said.

Clarifying that he had not received any notice from KPCC regarding disciplinary action against him, Vishwanath said that he was being targeted for no fault of his.

“None, including, Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi, Siddaramaiah and G Parameshwara, is the owner of Congress party. People are the real owners of Congress,” he said.

A WhatsApp message sent to Vishwanath by KPCC general secretary Boseraj has sought an explanation from the former for issuing media statements against All India Congress Committee president Sonia Gandhi and vice president Rahul Gandhi.
