A three-goal effort from Emmanuel spurred Students Union to a 4-2 win over Accountants General’s Office Recreation Club (AGORC) in the BDFA Super Division league at the Bangalore Football Stadium here on Sunday.

The win helped Students keep their unbeaten run intact and maintain their position on top of the table, with 19 points from seven games. AGORC, meanwhile, continue to languish at the bottom half in seventh spot with four points from five matches.

Emmanuel netted the opener for Students in the 12th minute and Sudhir added another a minute later as they went into the break with a 2-0 lead.

AGORC, however, did not back down and responded with a goal after the change of ends through Dada Nabeel in the 61st minute. It hardly made any difference for Students as the in-form Emmanuel struck two back-to-back goals in 64th and 77th minutes to complete his treble.

In the 84th minute, Nabeel netted again to help AGORC reduce the deficit.
