<p>World Vision India in association with Bengaluru City Police has created ‘child-friendly’ space at the office of the Assistant Commissioner of Police, Kengeri Gate sub-division. The facility was inaugurated on Monday.<br /><br /></p>.<p>This initiative will provide counselling to vulnerable children when brought to the police station.<br /><br />Speaking at the inaugural event, Narmada Anand, Director ICPS (Integrated Child Protection Scheme), said that the child-friendly spaces stipulated by the Pocso Act and implemented by World Vision India will allow the child to develop healthy conversation between different agencies of the state - the police, judiciary and child protection machinery.<br /><br />M N Anucheth, DCP (West), said that police find it difficult to speak to the children who are molested or abused. The child-friendly space will facilitate children to open-up, he said.</p>
