DVS angry over not being consulted on road works launch

Union Minister D V Sadananda Gowda on Thursday took exception for not being consulted while finalising the date for launch of development of roads around Kempegowda International airport which comes under the jurisdiction of his Bengaluru North Lok Sabha constituency.

In a strongly worded letter to Bengaluru Development Minister K J George, copies of which were released to the press here, Gowda pointed out that his name had been mentioned in the invitation of the event (slated for March 3) without consulting him.

“Due to prior engagement, I will not be able to attend the event. I suspect that I had not been consulted so that my absence at the event could be portrayed in bad light before the people of my constituency”, Gowda said.

He has termed the lapse as “deliberate” and the height of “carelessness”and “irresponsibility”.
