Bollywood actor Manoj Bajpayee, who was last seen in ‘Saat Uchakkey’ (2016) is back in the news but this time for a social cause. Reportedly, the actor is taking special interest in developing his native village of Belwa in Bihar.

If sources are to be believed, the two-time National Award winner has been visiting his village frequently, where he interacts with the villagers to know about their needs and takes note of the issues that are need to be brought to the notice of the authorities. He is also making an effort to construct a school in his village.

“I have spent some memorable years in my village. It is the place from where my cinematic journey started.  This village has given me a lot and I feel it’s my duty to contribute to its development. I am trying my best to speak to the higher authorities to get permission. I am escalating one problem at a time. After getting the permission for a community hall, our next target is to get  permission for the school. I am hoping that with my efforts, the problems of the village are solved completely,” said Manoj.

On the professional front, the actor will soon be spotted promoting Neeraj Pandey’s upcoming ‘Naam Shabana’, where the actor will be seen sharing the screen with
Akshay Kumar and Tapsee Pannu.

Moreover, the actor is also a part of Ram Gopal Verma’s ‘Sarkar 3’, featuring Amitabh Bachchan in the lead role of Subhash Nagre  (Sarkar).
