A girl who had secured the Prajavani- Deccan Herald scholarship, has bagged four gold medals at the convocation of Karnataka Institute of Medical Sciences, Hubballi.
Pavithra Madinura of Koppal has secured highest marks in four subjects in the medical course. “I studied in Kannada medium till Class 10. I had always dreamt of becoming a doctor. I was able to secure a seat in KIMS as I got good marks in II PU,” a beaming Pavithra said.
Pavithra, who had secured good marks in SSLC, was selected for the Deccan Herald-Prajavani scholarship for which readers also contribute. A total of 145 students were conferred degrees at the convocation held on Saturday.
