<p>The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on Tuesday announced a mobile-based application which will help the board examination candidates to locate their examination centre.<br /><br /></p>.<p>“The ‘Exam Locator App’ will help students in quickly knowing their examination centre on the basis of their roll number,” the school board’s spokesperson Rama Sharma said in a statement.<br /><br />A student can easily find the address, images and geo location of the designated examination centre and know how to reach there with the use of the said mobile application.<br /><br />“This mobile application has been developed for the students appearing for the CBSE Class X and XII board examinations beginning March 9 as a sequel to several IT initiatives taken by the Board,” she added.<br /><br />Sharma said a student or a parent has to register through mobile number to receive a one time password (OTP) to avail the facilities.<br /><br />“The OTP will help log on to the Centre Locator App. The student or parent can then access information by selecting the option X or XII and entering the roll number. The student’s information, address and photograph of the exam centre will be displayed on the screen for easy identification by the students,” she said.<br /><br />“How to Reach” feature in the mobile application will enable students to fetch the route map from their current location to their examination centre location, she added.<br /> <br /></p>
