Women corporators to dance and sing

Women corporators on Wednesday will display their skills in fine arts when they shake a leg, sing and paint to mark International Women’s Day.

This year’s International Women’s Day is special for the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) because this is the first year of women’s dominance in the BBMP council.

Women make up more than 50% of the council. To celebrate the day, a programme has been organised at the BBMP office. Women corporators will form a human chain at Town Hall, which will be followed by a cultural programme at the Rajkumar Glass House in the BBMP head office near N R Square where women corporators will participate. Chief Minister Siddaramaiah will attend the event at 2.30 pm.
